YES! We ask that any significant changes or customizations, such as painting or landscaping, be approved by our team before making modifications. If you need to break your lease, please contact us as soon as possible. While we understand that life circumstances change, breaking a lease early may result in certain fees or require you to pay rent until a new tenant is found. We’ll work with you to find the best possible solution based on the situation.
Payment and Cancellation
Tenant Builders offers a variety of convenient payment options. You can pay your rent through our online tenant portal using a bank transfer, credit/debit card, or ACH payment. We also accept checks and money orders if needed. The online portal allows for one-time payments or recurring automatic payments to ensure you never miss a due date. We reserve the right to amend these accepted means of payment, at our discretion.
Rent is typically due on the 1st of every month. Others may have rent due on the anniversary (monthly) of their lease signing. Be sure to check your specific lease terms for details. Late fees will be applied to unpaid rents by the cited due date.
Yes, if rent is not paid by the cited due date, a late fee will be applied to your account. The amount of the late fee is specified in your lease agreement. We recommend setting up automatic payments to avoid any missed payments and associated fees.
Absolutely! You’re welcome to pay rent early at any time through our tenant portal. Many of our tenants choose to set up automatic payments for peace of mind, ensuring rent is paid on time each month.
In addition to rent, you may be responsible for utilities (such as water, electricity, internet), pet fees (if applicable), and any additional services (such as trash removal or lawn care) or ameneties selected. These costs will be outlined in your lease agreement.
If you miss multiple rent payments, you may be subject to late fees, and further action could be taken, such as eviction proceedings, as per Florida law. We encourage you to contact our team if you’re experiencing financial difficulties so we can discuss potential solutions before things escalate.
In some cases, lease transfers or subleases may be allowed, but this depends on the specific terms of your lease. Please reach out to our team if you’re considering transferring your lease to another party, and we’ll guide you through the process.
